Six Syllables 3-5

 

Review the 6 syllables chart.  Think about how the words we read can be divided into one of these categories.  As you are reading and you come to words you are not sure how to pronounce, think about how we try and find the parts of the word we do know by using our 6 syllables.  Once we can pronounce the word, ask yourself if you know what it means?  If yes keep reading, if no then look the word up.  HINT:  google the word on a phone to find the meaning.  You don’t have to have a book dictionary to look the word up.
