Just about me
I have always lived in Texas. I am married and I have 3 daughters. 2 are adulting and living in different states, one is still home and many years away from leaving the nest. I have a cat and 6 chickens. I love my chickens! In my free time, I love to paint and crochet. I love doing anything artsy and craftsy. I like coffee and anything pumpkin flavored. My favorite candy is dark chocolate but I will not turn down any chocolate. I like to bake and bring treats to school for the teachers. I think I knew in 1st grade that I wanted to be a teacher but tried many other things before finally declaring my major at UT Tyler. I played the flute and piccolo in school and college. I have visited Canada, Mexico, and Honduras. I would like to travel to Italy, Scotland and France one day. This is year 28 of teaching and I just think I am getting better at it each day. I absolutely love my job (on most days!)

My Mission Statement
My mission as a teacher is to motivate, inspire, encourage, and support students by providing a safe, secure and loving environment to educate them socially, emotionally, and cognitively so they can continue to build a foundation for life-long learning. I believe everyone can learn and it is my job to educate your child to the best of my ability.
