good morning second grade are spelling this week is adding e d or ing to words with a short vowel sound the thing to remember is if we want to change the meaning of the word a little bit by adding ing or Ed to a word that has a short vowel sound we have to make sure there are two consonants after the short vowel before we add the Bjorn the ing for example if I were it is rub we have the short u
