Welcome Troup Tigers! GT Testing Schedule:
1st - 5th Grade students are tested in the fall by nomination from a parent, teacher, or school personnel.
- Informational letters will be sent home on September 20th.
- Parent informational meeting will be September 26th at 3:30pm in room 106 in the 3-5 building.
- GT nominations are due by September 29th.
- GT testing will start on October 2nd.
- Parents will be notified by the end of October if their child qualifies or not.
Kindergarten students are tested in the spring by nomination from a parent, teacher, or school personnel.

- GT nominations are due by February 2nd.
- GT testing will start on February 5th.
- Parents will be notified by the end of February if their child qualifies or not.

Academic Rodeo Information
Troup Elementary GT students participate in the following
Academic Rodeo Competitions throughout the school year.
Art Contest:
1st - 5th Grade GT students
Entries are due to Ms. Berryman by Friday, October 27th
2 Entries per grade level will go the Academic Rodeo Grounds for the Final Competition!
Mindset Competition:
4th - 5th Grade GT students
Prelims - Thursday, November 9th
Final - Monday, January 22nd
Mathletics Competition:
4th - 5th Grade GT students
Thursday, January 18th
Academic Rodeo Awards:
2023 - 3rd place in Mindset - 4th & 5th Grade Team
