About Me & Classroom Information

Hi! My name is Carlie Mauldin. I'm excited to start my 3rd year at Troup Elementary School.

 

I am one of the 2nd grade teachers at TES. I graduated from Stephen F. Austin State University in 2023 with my Bachelor of Science in Human Development, and again in 2026 with my Masters Degree in Curriculum and Instruction.

 

In the Classroom

My goal is to create a classroom where students feel welcomed, respected, supported, and challenged. I want students to be encouraged to learn, explore, and ask questions. My teaching philosophy aligns closely with that of Jean Piaget and Maria Montessori. Students learn best through movement and hands-on experiences.

Outside of School

When I’m not at school, I enjoy reading and spending time with my family. I have been married to my husband, Jackson, for four years. We have two cats, named Eek and Wednesday, and one dog, named Agent Weenie Dog.
