Mrs. Morris' Kindergarten

Hi!  My name is Kimberly Morris and I absolutely LOVE teaching Kindergarten!  I attended the University of Texas at Austin and graduated with my Bachelor’s degree in May of 2002.  I started my teaching career in La Grange, Texas, and spent two years there as a fourth grade teacher.  I moved back to Austin in the summer of 2004 and taught in Round Rock ISD for 19 years (1 year in fourth grade and 18 years in kindergarten).  I was born and raised in Flatonia, Texas, which is a very small town.  My family and I decided to move to Troup to be close to my husband's family and to get back to small town life.  We are very excited to be here!  I will be starting my 24th year of teaching and I am so glad that I chose this profession.  It is an honor to work with children and mold them into lifelong learners.  I love watching them grow and learn more and more as each day passes.

I am married to my wonderful husband, Ragan.  Ragan and I have two amazing daughters, Taylor and Emersyn.  Taylor will be a 7th grader at TMS this year and will be 13 years old in October.   Emersyn turned 10 years old this past June and will be in 5th grade at TES.  They both bring us so much joy!  We also have a golden retriever named, Jax.  We love him a lot!

I love hanging out with my family!  I don't have a lot of spare time, but when I do I enjoy exercising, going for walks with my dog, shopping, reading, cooking and spending time/traveling with my family.
