Welcome to Reading Acceleration!

Reading Acceleration is a wonderful intervention program to help struggling first and second grade readers. Mrs. Chambers and I teach children individually or in group lessons daily to help students with their phonics, comprehension, fluency, vocabulary, and reading skills. We love to see our kids' confidence blossom as they feel success in reading!

8:00-9:40 Individual lessons with 1st graders

9:45--10:35 conference/mentoring

10:40-11:00 finish individual lesson with 1st grader

11:00-11:30 Lunch

11:45-12:15 lunch duty

12:15-12:45 individual lesson with 1st grader

12:50-2:00 2nd grade literacy groups

2:00-2:30 1st grade literacy groups

2:45-3:15 flex time/mentor/lesson make ups

I'm a Texas Aggie, and I've taught in Troup since 1996. I've taught Pre-k, kindergarten, and second grade previously. I love children and their joy for life and learning!

I have a grown son and daughter, as well as three grandchildren. My dog, Smokey, is my best buddy and loves to snuggle.
