Wow! The last week of the school year. Next fall you'll be in 4th grade! That is exciting. Once again you'll click onto the Home Learning Symbaloo link below then follow the directions explaining what to do. It looks a bit different from the one we use at school, but you still just click on the tiles. Some of the titles on the tiles won't show up here, just hover your mouse over the tile and it then pops up.
First, click on the link for Key Memory Brain Game. This is a memory game where you turn over pairs of matching cards with keys A-Z. Keep your fingers on Home Row!
Go back to Symbaloo and click on Type Rocket. Make the rockets pop by typing letters shown on the rocket. Start on Medium level. Watch the fireworks explode!
Due:
Week of May 11-15, 2020
Hi! I hope you are doing well. Once again you will be clicking into the Home Learning Symbaloo to do this week's lessons. It looks a bit different from the one we use at school, but you still just click on the tiles. Some of the titles on the tiles won't show up here, just hover your mouse over the tile and it then pops up.
One last time click on Dance Mat Typing and go to Level 4, Stage 12. On the speed test, try to beat last week's score!
Go back to Symbaloo and go to Glider Cats. Remember, Glider Cats is a racing game with planes. First put just your first name (or a made-up name if you want, the name only shows up at the end of the game to show the planes and who won.) then pick your plane. Start off with 4 letter words. You can go longer when you play the game again. Looking down at your fingers can cause you to lose precious time! May the best pilot win!

Week of May 4-8, 2020

Hello, Third Graders! Making it through April! This week we will be working in a new stage in Dance Mat Typing! Yays! It is Level 4 Stage 11 with Sybil Snake and / (forward slash) and period. Be careful with fingers type these keys. The forward slash is used a lot in typing URLs (website addresses) and of course, the period is very important! Then I have a new game for you!
Click on the lesson below:
For the new game, you get to be a "Cute Jumper". It sounds easy but don't let that fool you; you have to type before the floating island with your little jumper sinks, AND you only have 4 lives. Wow! This week, start with just Home Row and play around with the different difficulty levels. Start with easy first to see how the game works. Be careful of the "insane" level, it can get tough! Try not to look down as this uses up valuable time with the island sinking. Have fun!
