All About Me

My name is Brittany Ritchey and I am so excited to be teaching Second Grade at Troup Elementary! 

 

I grew up here in Troup and attended Troup ISD schools from Kindergarten-12th grade. After graduation, I attended East Texas Baptist University where I graduated in December of 2016 with a Bachelor's Degree in Elementary Education. I began my teaching career in January of 2017 at Hallsville East Elementary. During my three and a half years in Hallsville, I taught third grade for two and a half years and second grade for one year. I am certified to teach Core Subjects EC-6, Special Education EC-12 and ESL EC-12. I am so excited to be back home and teaching at this wonderful school district! 

 

Fun Facts About Me: 

- I am currently teaching in the same classroom that I was once a second grade student in.

- I have had the privilege of teaching with some teachers who once taught me.

-One of my favorite animals is a penguin and I would own one if I could!
